Privacy policy

01. Scope

This policy covers the MINEMUSE iOS app and this website, provided by the MINEMUSE developer. The app is preparing for public testing; available features may vary by version.

No separate MINEMUSE account is required. This website has no account registration, mailing list or diagnostic upload form. Contact: hangshi97@gmail.com.

02. Data on your device

Audio files you choose and their song information are used for your local library, playback and display. Imported audio is copied into the app’s storage. Playlists, queues, playback recovery, visual and language preferences, added lyrics and lyrics timing settings are kept on the device.

Readable audio is analyzed on the device to drive visuals. Visualization does not upload audio files to the developer. Some effects use device gravity data locally. System backups and file-provider synchronization are controlled by iOS, iCloud or the relevant service.

03. Apple Music and purchases

Connecting Apple Music or the system music library requires system authorization. Apple handles related online music, artwork, authorization and subscription requests under its policies. MINEMUSE does not receive your Apple account password.

Apple’s in-app purchase system handles theme purchases and restoration. The app reads the necessary purchase entitlements; Apple processes payment details, and MINEMUSE does not receive card numbers. Actual testing and sales availability is shown by Apple.

04. Online lyrics

The app first tries lyrics you supply, embedded lyrics, associated local lyrics and available library lyrics. When online matching is needed, the current version uses LRCLIB and may fall back to lyrics.ovh.

LRCLIB receives song title and artist, plus album and duration where needed. lyrics.ovh receives song title and artist. These services also receive connection information such as your IP address. Audio files are not uploaded. Each service controls how it handles and retains requests.

There is currently no separate online lyrics switch. Queries may happen automatically when lyrics need to be filled in. Hiding lyrics does not guarantee that queries stop. Use local music offline if you do not want those requests sent.

05. Microphone

Development or test versions with a microphone option use it only after you enable it and grant system permission. The current implementation analyzes live audio in memory without recording, saving or uploading microphone audio.

Not all versions include this experimental option. You can review or revoke microphone permission in iOS Privacy & Security settings. Unrelated local-music features are not affected.

06. Contact and diagnostics

When you send email, the developer receives your sender address, message and chosen attachments to respond to and investigate your issue. Email passes through your email provider and the receiving provider, Gmail.

Diagnostic reports are generated on demand on your device. They may include app and system versions, device model, thermal and low-power state, theme and quality settings, playback progress and state, queue size, audio-analysis status, limited performance information, recent error types and codes, and your description.

Current reports do not automatically attach audio, your full library, song names, file paths, passwords or credentials. Your description and other attachments may contain personal information; review them before sending.

Generating a report does not upload it. You must confirm sending in the system email screen or choose a sharing method yourself. This website has no automatic diagnostic collection backend.

07. Website visits

This website provides product, testing, privacy and support information. It does not include advertising services, visit analytics, cross-site tracking or marketing cookies. Your chosen display language may be saved locally in your browser to remember your preference.

This website uses Cloudflare Pages to host and deliver its pages. Cloudflare processes technical information in access requests, such as IP address, browser information, access time and requested path, to deliver content, maintain network security and troubleshoot issues. Cloudflare handles this information under its privacy policy.

Email links open your email app. Future TestFlight links will lead to Apple services and be subject to Apple’s policies.

08. Your choices and retention

You can revoke library or microphone permissions in system settings, delete imported items through the app, edit playlists and change preferences. Deleting the app normally removes its local data, but not system backups, source files retained by a file provider or emails already sent. Clear this site’s browser data to remove the saved language preference.

Diagnostic exports are created temporarily in the app cache, and the export flow attempts to clean them up afterwards. Copies you save elsewhere or send are not deleted by the app. Feedback emails and attachments are used for support and necessary follow-up, not advertising. Contact the developer to request access to or deletion of submitted feedback; any legally required retention will be explained in the reply.

Apple, lyrics, hosting and email providers determine their own retention, processing locations and deletion procedures. Requests may involve servers outside your region.
